Brigham Young University lit its first-ever campus Christmas tree in Brigham Square in 2025 - a towering tree between the Wilkinson Center and the Harold B. Lee Library - drawing roughly 10,000 people. The 'Night of Light' evening pairs the tree lighting with student-made luminaries, a live Nativity with real animals, large Nativity projections, BYU choir performances, hot chocolate and the Church's Light the World Giving Machines. BYU's president has said it will become an annual tradition.
