About 25 miles west of Madison in Blue Mounds, the National Natural Landmark cave is strung with constellations of twinkling lights that guide you through the underground formations, while the grounds and buildings above are decked out in holiday lights and whimsy. A steady 50 degrees inside makes it a good bad-weather outing.
