A 21-year community tradition in Fort Wayne's historic Broadway commercial corridor: a 40-foot Colorado blue spruce strung with more than 40,000 lights is lit at a free evening kickoff with a parade led by the Concordia Lutheran marching band, vintage firetrucks, Santa and Mrs. Claus on a sleigh with live reindeer, food trucks and fireworks. The lighted tree anchors the corridor through the holidays.
