A nearly 40-year downtown tradition presented by Allegacy Federal Credit Union: a single-evening kickoff along Elm Street with the lighting of the community tree in Center City Park, a Merry Marketplace holiday market in LeBauer Park, carolers and acoustic performers, Santa in Hamburger Square, and a laser show at MLK and S. Elm. The downtown decorations and Piedmont Winterfest rink carry the season beyond the kickoff night.
