The City of El Paso's WinterFest wraps San Jacinto Plaza and the surrounding downtown Arts District in more than one million lights, a 55-foot holiday tree and oversized decorations. The season opens with the ceremonial tree lighting and the Scherr Legate Lights Parade (55-plus illuminated floats), and runs nightly with free Santa photos, holiday movies and the downtown ice rink. A free downtown walk-through tradition, now past its 10th anniversary.
