Roanoke County Parks lights a roughly half-mile wooded walking trail at Explore Park, a 1,100-acre preserve at Milepost 115 on the Blue Ridge Parkway along the Roanoke River. Recent seasons have carried a new theme with hundreds of thousands of lights, an artisan market, campfires, and Santa visits. This is a walk-through experience, not a drive-through.
