Denver's grandest civic holiday tradition since 1935: the City and County Building glows from ground floor to dome in an opulent light display. In 2025 the mayor flipped the switch at the Light the Lights ceremony on Nov 21, after which a roughly 8-minute choreographed light-and-music show (produced by Colorado Holiday Experiences) ran Tuesday-Sunday at 5:45 and 6:45 p.m., with static lights until 10:45 p.m.; Mondays static only during City Council meetings. The lights traditionally stay up through the National Western Stock Show in late January.
