One of the largest Christmas lighting events in the Southwest, running since 1979 and recently drawing more than 1.5 million visitors a season. Hundreds of thousands of lights and biblical vignettes fill the temple's north lawn, with a free International Nativity Display (hundreds of nativities from around the world) at the Visitors' Center across the street at 455 E Main St. Wide cement/gravel pathways accommodate strollers and wheelchairs; free parking nearby and a light-rail stop just west of the grounds.
