For 25-plus years, artist Pandora LaCasse's colorful illuminated 'light forms' have glowed across downtown Portland - Congress Street, Commercial Street, and parks including Longfellow Square, Tommy's Park, Boothby Square, Lincoln Park, Pleasant Street Park and Congress Square Park - from late November through March. The season kicks off at Monument Square, where a tall red spruce (a 40-foot tree in 2025) is lit at a free crowd-drawing tree-lighting ceremony the Friday after Thanksgiving.
