Lansing's signature holiday kickoff, drawing an average of 40,000 people downtown each year: an Electric Light Parade with 60+ lighted floats and marching bands, the lighting of Michigan's official State Christmas Tree at the Capitol, a community sing, a drone light show and fireworks over the Capitol dome, plus the Silver Bells Village holiday market. The 2025 edition (its 41st year) lit a 68-foot spruce that stays aglow at the Capitol through the season.
