The City of Sparks' decades-old holiday celebration across Victorian Square, just east of Reno. The mayor flips the switch on the city's permanent 60-foot living Giant Sequoia at a public tree-lighting ceremony by the large gazebo, followed by the Hometowne Christmas Parade down Victorian Avenue and the '39 North Pole' village with holiday lights, live entertainment, an outdoor bazaar and Santa. A free downtown tradition.
