Turlock kicks off its holiday season on Black Friday evening with the Festival of Lights: the city Christmas tree is lit at Central Park (Main St & Golden State Blvd) with live entertainment, nearly 200 vendors and - in recent years - a drone show, while downtown Turlock's storefronts and streets stay decked through the season. The 46-plus-year-old Downtown Christmas Parade follows in early December.
