An alley of about 50 crepe myrtles in the Louisiana Veterans Memorial Park is wrapped with more than 100,000 white lights, outlining the State Capitol grounds and honoring fallen Louisiana soldiers and their Gold Star families. A quiet, free walk-through near the Capitol, lit each holiday season since a state Department of Veterans Affairs launch.
