The open-air University Place shopping center in Orem lights The Orchard courtyard with more than 100,000 lights: a 30-foot walk-through tree, six walk-through arches, and lit pergolas and trees. It is free and on nightly into early January. The season opens with the annual Orchard Lighting Event and a 'Lite Brite Nite,' with a giant Lite Brite, color-changing shapes, and photos with the Grinch, Mrs. Claus and Willey the Wolverine.
